Heavenly Father,
I come before you in the most earnest way that
I know how, asking for your divine guidance as I give myself 31 Days to
be intentionally attentive to my spirit and begin to reverse the
negative cycle that has plagued my life. I humbly thank You for the
mercy and grace that You have shown me, and I thank You for Your son,
Jesus Christ; for his dying on the cross for my sins, and for providing
an example whereby I can pattern my own life.
Please forgive me for the things I have
thought, felt, said, and done that were contrary to Your will, and hear
me, O’ God, as I make the desires of my heart known before Your throne.
I know that You desire the absolute best for me at all times, and I know
that you have set about a plan for me to walk in abundance and
wholeness; so from this moment on, I relinquish my agenda for Yours. In
so doing, please help me to see what I need to see, to hear what I need
to hear, and to do what I need to do in order that I may be a blessing
and not a hindrance to your divine will and purpose for my life.
Romans 12:1 tells me that I am to present my
entire existence as a “living and holy sacrifice” before You,
because when I think of all that You have done for me, it is the very
least that I can do. Please help me to remain anchored in that truth.
Help me to realize with clarity that it isn’t just one specific thing
that I must do to satisfy my purpose in Your will, but many things
throughout my life; and as I walk a purposeful path, my dreams, wants,
and desires will beautifully unfold before my eyes.
With my whole heart I want to please You. Even
though the world’s standard of what is right and wrong is forever
changing, I know that your standard does not change; therefore, guide me
by Your spirit and help me to recognize its guidance. Teach me through
Your Word how to live holy, and how to be acceptable to You. Thank You
for taking care of me all of my life, and for bringing me this
opportunity to grow closer to You through Jesus Christ. I pray these
things in his powerful and precious name. Amen.
